Saudi Arabia E-visa Program Includes 8 New Countries

Saudi Arabia has recently expanded its e-visa program to include 8 new countries, making it easier for tourists from these nations to visit the Kingdom.

Saudi Arabia's e-visa expansion reflects the Kingdom's commitment to openness and development, allowing visa applicants from a broader range of countries to apply for a visa and engage in tourism, entertainment events, and explore Saudi heritage and tourist attractions.

This initiative aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to boost the tourism sector and create a more open and connected world.

 The e-visa program now covers additional nations such as Azerbaijan, Albania, Georgia, the Maldives, Kyrgyzstan, South Africa, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan. Nationals from these countries can now apply for a tourist visa either electronically or upon arrival at one of the Kingdom's international ports of entry.
 

By expanding the e-visa program, Saudi Arabia is taking a significant step towards global connectivity. The Kingdom's Minister of Tourism, Ahmed Al-Khateeb, emphasized that this expansion simplifies the travel experience for visitors, opening Saudi Arabia's doors to the world.

The e-visa allows tourists to explore various regions across Saudi Arabia, perform Umrah, visit family and friends, and engage in business activities. However, it's essential to note that the tourist visa does not permit Hajj or Umrah during the Hajj season.

The expansion of the e-visa program aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to increase the tourism sector's contribution to GDP from 3% to over 10%, create one million additional job opportunities, and attract 100 million tourists by 2030.
